Worker Led Movements Against AI: A Discussion with Tamara Kneese

Tamara Kneese, Director, Climate, Technology, and Justice Program at Data & Society will be presenting her new co-authored book titled, Notes Toward a Digital Workers' Inquiry, which captures first-hand accounts from the tech sector's resurgent labor movement as artifical intelligence gains ground in every facet of our lives. In her conversation with Sana Ahmad, Senior Researcher at RG Working with AI, Weizenbaum Institute, the author will also talk about the recent report at Data & Society that looks at climate action in the tech industry, showing how internal, worker-led pressure campaigns around corporate sustainability intersect with larger grassroots coalitions that are fighting data centres.

The event will take place online - link will be sent to the participants few days before the event.
